Movie Review - "Marvel : Black Panther" (Spoiler Alert)
As we know, Black Panther is one of the character debuted on The Avengers : Civil War, and will be feature again in upcoming movies Avengers : Infinity Wars. For me, he's used to be the most misteries character because of his unkown background and ability, and this movie has all the answer.
Source I will not talk about more on the story lines considering most of you haven't seen it yet. But, I will let you know why you NEED watch it.
1. It's Not a Typical Superhero Movies
The movie is not about discovering superpower, fighting crimes, fighting the villian who about to blow up the world. This movie is more on the introduction of what Wakanda is, and who is Black Panther. Most probably because the character and Wakanda might play the bigger role on the next Avengers movies. Wakanda is a fictional shielded, and hidden African nation with high tech building, gadgets, and transportation. This movies a mostly an introduction. But still full of action.
2. Beautifully Taken Cinematic Scenary, Sound & Cinematography
Big ups to the director Ryan Coogler for the visual effect of the movie, compared to the previos marvel movie Thor, this one is better. It looks more natural, the soundtrack is well chosen and not to loud which maintain the mode of the culture. The african custom, and the high tech costome both look really great. The scenary of the Wakanda also really outstanding and beautiful, my favaurite scene is when they pay a visit to the afterworld, the nightview of african field with aurora borealis at the background.
3. Delivering Global Message
The movie is not just about entertainment, it also bring up some important message such as how a wrong leader can lead to a disasterous country. When Killmonger (the Villian) become the King, he first step is to share the Wakanda technology to all villian of the world to fight the government, which will destroy not only the country, but the whole world. Other than that, the movie also bring up how the previous generation can messed up the current generation, and we have no choice but to fix it.
The last message that it realise is, before the villian (Killmonger) kill himself refusing to go to Wakanda cell, he said 'I rather die like my anchestor in the ocean, because they knew, death is better than slavery', this is to reminds the younger generation to always remember the inhuman abuse of African slave between the 18th and early-19th centuries.
Summary
You need to watch the movie to get what I mean, it was a great movies with a good storylines, can wait for the next Avengers movie!
