My thoughts on...type of physical training for golfers.

Hello there steemians, its been a while since my last post. been busy with training and tournaments this few weeks but here it is my 3rd post!
so today Im gonna share with you my thoughts on what type of physical training that is suitable for golfers.
these are my own personal recommendation. Majority of people or golfers would think that the way to train for golf is by being able to train both physical strength and also flexibility at the same time.
But i would say the MOST important and the BEST way to train for golf is to have COMPLETE CONTROL of your body's mobility.

So to start it off, what kind of physical training do you need to be a golf athlete? they are tens of thousands of exercises in this world that is used to increase physical ability but which one would the best to be able to maximize your potential in golf? The answer to that is CALISTHENICS. If some of you are not familiar to that word, wikipedia explains calisthenics as "exercises consisting of a variety of gross motor movements—running, standing, grasping, pushing, etc. — often performed rhythmically and with minimal equipment, so essentially, bodyweight exercises. They are intended to increase body strength, body fitness, and flexibility, through movements such as pulling or pushing oneself up, bending, jumping, or swinging, using only one's body weight for resistance".
Basically, calisthenics is kinda like a training program to become a gymnast.

Now the main reason why I say that calisthenics is a GREAT way to improve golf performance is because golf is a game that requires you to understand HOW your body moves to create a golf swing and also being able to move efficiently and fluidly throughout the golf swing. In golf, if you dont have a consistent golf swing. There is no chance you will be able to make your way to the higher levels of golf. So by doing calisthenics, not only you will be able to increase your overall physical fitness but you will also LEARN how to use your body's full potential.
In my opinion, there no other ahtlete in this world that can use their bodies full potential like gymnasts do. They have both strength and flexibility WITH complete control of their mobility. So just imagine if you are able to control your body movements as good as a gymnast and use it for golf! the potential of your golf swing is limitless.

So in golf, being able to move your body the way you want or need for your golf swing is key. Calisthenics training can provide that. I personally use the training program at "https://fitloop.co/". they provide exercise progressions for beginners and also for advanced practitioner.

Great post!! Most of amateurs are only concentrating on the swing and not on their general fitness and mobility...

True, it all stems down to lack of awareness regarding the fact that your swing can only move as much as your body can move. If u lack mobility there is just not a lot of things you can improve in the golf swing.
