My Top 10 TeamBackPack Cyphers
10| Rocky Rivera, Plane Jane, Hopie.
Produced by Sammay.
All girl cypher. Gotta admit, I saw this when I was younger, so my expectations were pretty low before watching this, but these girls know what the fuck they're doing. They put it down, for sure.
9| Phil Ade, Dyme-A-Duzin & Alex Wiley.
Produced by Mikey Fresh.
I like the feel of this one. I like the difference in all 3 of these dude's flows. Before watching this I had no idea who these guys were, after listening, now I'm a huge fan of Alex Wiley and got a nice chunk of Phil Ade songs on my iPod.
8| Irv Da Phenom & Aqualeo.
Produced by Kato.
This cypher was dope. The fact that they looked a little "different" is exactly what made me want to listen to it. When I saw them I immediately thought of Tech N9NE because they got some face paint in this video. And I love Tech N9NE, so I paid attention. Turns out, they're as dope as I'd thought they'd be.
7| Obvi, Koncept & Peoples.
Produced by J57.
All 3 rappers straight killed this. Plus I liked the way Peoples ended it, by saying, "TeamBackPack, we the new WuTang!" I thought that was tight.
6| Dizzy Wright & Hopsin.
Produced by Hopsin.
Dizzy Wright straight killed this fuckin' cypher. Without a doubt, Hopsin wasn't too much in the zone, but he let you know that in his verse. I give him a pass cuz his shit was still dope, and he made the beat!
5| Chris Rivers, Oswin Benjamin & Denzil Porter.
Produced by Clyde. Strokes.
The Three Wise Men! The title to this one speaks for itself. These three emcees just bounce off of each other effortlessly. You can tell they have fun with it too, shit's too ill right here.
4| Jarren Benton, CyHi The Prynce & Joell Ortiz.
Produced by Trox.
I was in the crowd as this one was being filmed, and I literally felt like I was witnessing greatness. I was so surprised that I was even in the building in the first place, and to see these three emcees do their thing right before my eyes. It was just amazing.
3| Gigs510, Pass & Obvi.
Produced by Diesel Beats.
Definitely one of my favorite cyphers to listen to over and over. Pass straight kills this one for me. His line, "High tolerance, yeah I'm from the bay bitch// Whatchu expect, West Really, that's basic, I mean.." inspired the title of my 3rd mixtape, "Hiigh Tolerance." Another line I enjoy was when Pass says "From the town so I got charisma, nigga I don't know what the fuck swag mean!" Shit is hard as fuck.
2| A-1, Jeff Turner & Illmaculate.
Produced by Trox.
Yet another one that I was in the crowd to witness and I was just in awe the whole time. A-1 actually stumbled up on the first time around and they had to bring it back and do it again, which got the crowd hyped when he finished strong. Of course Jeff Turner's energy always gets the crowd going and Illmac just steps in and blesses the mic. My favorite line is when Illmac says
"Keep it movin', even if she the coolest bop // I Neo in the Matrix dodge the arrow Cupid shot!" Too ill.
1| Catalyst, Futuristic & Kidaf.
Produced by G-Force.
Once again, I was in the crowd for this and it was just beautiful to watch. The beat was fuckin' perfect, and the way these guys flow to it had me thinking in a different way about the way I approach a beat. Just a perfect display of lyricism on all 3 fronts, and a good one to listen to over and over. Definitely my favorite cypher. Hands down.
Chris Rivers is a cool dude. Working on getting him with my artist Jam Master J'son. Did a few shows already.
I think I got some barz too. Check them out Here.
That's what's up. Didn't even know JMJ's son was out here making moves like that, that's good to know. Yeah, I liked that video. I peeped it the other day. I'm in the rap challenge too, just with my other account.
