Australia - One of the best countries to live in

in #teamaustralia7 years ago (edited)

Hi there, your good friend Orlow here.

Thank you to Australia. Australia is a great country. My nickname is @lucky.digger, I have had a lot of digging and luck in life - one of those lucky things was getting my mail this morning. A letter from the Australian Government. Government issues: My dipswitches snap to red and "Orlow the Cruise Missile" is ready to launch.

Free of Charge: Fearing an unfriendly demand to pay something, I was positively surprised. The letter was informing me that I will be receiving my bowel cancer screening kit in a few weeks.

You see, I turned 50 this year, and somehow the Australian Government has me registered among all those who are now over 50. Wait, Australia actually managed to become digitalized while other countries are still behaving like infants regarding the computer age. And that is the reason that this system actually works. Apart from the Republic of Georgia, the Australian government is the first government to adopt the blockchain and understand the longterm importance.

Not just that, Australia actually understands "preventive maintenance" on the population itself, trying to eliminate the source of prohibitve cost in medical care.

If you are over 50 and have not received your kit yet, then please visit http://www.cancerscreening.gov.au/internet/screening/publishing.nsf/Content/bowel-screening-1 and inform yourself on the procedures. You may also wish to watch the following video:

Please note, 80 Austrailians die each week from bowel cancer. It's statistically serious. You may want to also read a related article of mine:

I wouldn't say it's free of charge. You'll have paid for it somewhere in taxes. However, I agree this a good idea. Preventive medicine is the way to go, especially when it comes to cancer.

Thanks for the post!

I am quite sure it's not even quite covered by taxes. That's why we have (see Australia): http://www.usdebtclock.org/world-debt-clock.html

Good post mate.

But its difficult to get visa otherwise i plan to shift there

Try your best. But note well, Australia has a skilled labour force and it is a competitive society. Immigrants are subjected to that competition and don't always find work that quickly. However, for entrepreneurs it is a paradise, you can do very well if you are willing to work hard and share the social values.

Isn't Australia the country where everything just tries to kill you ;-)?

Just kidding, this is a very good program to do! I believe we have something like this here in Belgium as well since bowel cancer can be cured if detected in time (fortunatly it's quite easy to detect persons at risk for bowel cancer, hence these kits).

So get tested!

hope you are alright after having the cancer test. that is great that the goverment gicving you the test. . nice one.

thereI think it's a crock of sh*t, pardon the pun. How about the benevolent Australian Gov't assist in preventative medicine, rather than testing for what they hope you have so medical inc can get their paws into you. The Australia Govt is made up of liars (lawyers) whose sole aim is to feather their own nest with easy money before they retire. They run consultants and public servants to think of ways to take money out of your pocket and into theirs. Another fun fact you may not know.. this kind of test gets many false positives and their is lots of evidence that it doesn't work very well.
Considering the past form of the Australian Govt, I can't say I'm surprised to find it doesn't work very well.
