Ever been arrested and let go within 10mins? i have - HELLO TEAM AUSTRALIA!!!!

Hi everyone Im Kent,

I'm writing this intro post to join teamaustralia. My first post was the usual holding up a piece of paper to verify my human existence and NOT as a BOT which my friend advised me to do :) @lordnigel

Born and still living in RADelaide, im 39 years young and married to my Filipino wife effy who is 35. We own a Maltese shitzu 13 year old diva called 'Snowby' who was a rescue dog really, (story for another time perhaps).
As a huge star wars fan and to offset the playful bantering of mates who always knew i wanted a dire wolf as a pet her nickname is Snowby-one-kenobe. Currently she is the light of our lives, until we create ones of our own.

Probably the most interesting story i can relate is around 1998. Friends and i were walking back from a cinema in town and i was twirling a tiny replica gun-lighter whilst lighting a cigarette heading back to our car. I mean this gun could easily fit in the palm of your hand. A lady must've reported to the authorities there was a 'gun wielding' young male just off Pirie st. We were actually driving out of the car park and into a connecting side street when my friend who was driving kind of shrieked in terror as five fully-equipped, automatic weapon bearing Star force officers materialized out of thin air stopped the car, removed us (very meekly) from said car and hand-cuffed us on the ground. After a tense situation, it was clearly identified that the weapon in question was a gun lighter i had bought on holiday in Indonesia.
As the tension melted away and the camera crews that we didn't even realize were in the street started packing away their equipment, one of the officers stopped and looked at me kind of funny, removed his head gear and said, "kent, is that you?" Turns out he was a friend of a friend i had met at a BBQ the week before. That's Adelaide for you, sure is a small world!

Overall massive animal lover and i joined steemit primarily because my friend @Lordnigel won a bet (jokes). More importantly to raise issues of cruelty to anything and everything. I don't want to sound like an arrogant Social Justice Warrior but perhaps in many ways that's what i am, its what Im most passionate about in this world.

Nice to meet you all and never hesitate to say hello. The positivity i have found so far on Steemit is utterly AMAZING, a precious thing only as unique as it is worth fighting for!
