This one trick will make STEEMIT Hot/Trending section less sucky...in 2.5 secs
Local whales don't want you to know this trick !!
5 Reasons your time on steemit stops being fun after 10 mins !!
One guy was getting bored on steemit and what he did next will really surprise you!!
You will never go to the hot section once you read this post !!
I guess that is enough clickbait for one article and let's move on to the actual content.
Problem statement:
I spend way too much time on Steemit but usually after 10 mins or so it becomes difficult to find interesting stuff. Usually I would spend 5 mins in my feed and 5 mins on the hot section and this works as long as you only browse steemit once a day. Within this 10 minute session I would find couple of interesting posts and have a meaningful experience.
But when you spend too much time on Steemit , like I do, there is not enough fresh content in this method to catch my interest. As we all know Trending section is mostly pay to play and doesn't really refreshes for 3-4 days going there isn't much help either.
Solution:
Finally , something that corresponds to the actual title.
In the TA discord server @mattclarke told me the neat trick, which goes as followes.
Once you are done browsing your feed and usual suspects , find someone who you think is interesting and knowledgeable.
Let's pretend for a minute that the interesting person is @itstime.
Now , the big reveal,
You can browse that person's feed by typing /feed at the end of their profile URL
so for example , even if you don't follow me , you can find out my feed by clicking on the URL
https://steemit.com/@itstime/feed
If for some weird reason , you don't think I am that intersting person you can just replace my username with someone else's username
Now you can see what @ned is reading in his feed !!
RESTEEM if you found this useful
oh neat... ima give this a try!
Thats a pretty neat trick, I'll have to give it a try sometime.
right on !!
Interesting. I may give that a try. I "search" for more obscure tags in a similar way.
right on !!
Cool trick!
I think so too!
Brilliant minds and such ;)

Interesting that you tagged me in this, but it didn't register as a mention on steemworld.org
Have you edited the post at all, @itstime?
Yes, I got the @ handle incorrect in the first go...
BTW these mentions should just pop up under a tab ...just like comments !!
Agreed. We should be able to choose what we're notified about.
I'm sure it's on the planned features list somewhere, but Stinc is all about the chain right now, and letting others build the portals through which to interact with it.
