Altcoin Price Predictions

As the bears slowly start to go into hibernation, we should soon start to see some more positive prices flow into the crypto market. Everyone talks about Bitcoin hitting $20K, Bitcoin hitting $100K, Bitcoin hitting $1Million. But as we are all to accutely aware, the alt coins such as our beloved Steem hasn't yet matured enough to break away from the shackles of Bitcoin. I'm hoping during this next phase of the market, as projects such as EOS and others become more popular those shackles will be broken, but for this exercise lets just assume that they stay in place.

So if everything stays the same in terms of market cap, and the ratio of Altcoin Value to the Bitcoin value, lets look at some predicted figured that some of my favourite Alt Coins could reach when Bitcoin goes surging ahead again.

As a Baseline, lets look at Coinmarket Cap as of right now.

So now in the following examples, we'll look at the prices of the Altcoins if they were to graw the same amount as Bitcoin to get to certain milestone figures.

Now obviously, none of these figures take into account market sentiment of these project, for example, Vice is about to launch their product in about 9 days time, this could easily see the price hurtle towards $1 very quickly thus throw these figures right out of alignment. The same with EOS, its only just launched, once ICO's and dApps start really taking off on here, we should hopefully see EOS overtake Ethereum in market position, once again making these figures change again.

But the reason I did this was to show that while 90% of the altcoins, Steem included are tied to the movements of bitcoin, for us to get any particular target price to fulfil our goals, we would need Bitcoin to first move to these lofty heights again.
