Melbourne Steemit Meetup - 6pm Monday 22 January @ Father's Office
Hey everyone
There was a reasonable amount of interest in a meetup for Melbourne based Steemit users. Hopefully you will be able to make it. If it is successful I will look at running them on a regular basis.
Where? Father's Office bar (http://fathersoffice.com.au) 249 Little Lonsdale Street (QV Building). We will be in the bar rather than the restaurant.
When? Monday 22 January, from 6pm (probably until about 8 or 9).
Who? Melbourne Steemit members. Please re-steem and invite anyone you think might be interested.
I don't really want to put my phone number up publicly but if you get lost or can't find us you can reach me at drlyndonwalker on Twitter and I will try to keep an eye on Discord as well. I look pretty much like my profile picture.
Geez, I'd love to, great idea.. but I live in Gippsland and am working ....... bum.
Hopefully I'll make it...I'm arriving back from Europe the day before so will have to see how I'm holding up. Cheers!
Great idea to host a meetup, good initiative. I've checked my calendar and we are away on holidays that week. I'm in for the next one. Look forward to hearing the summary. Cheers

It's all good though, make sure you take plenty of photos and write a decent post on it so I feel part of TeamVIC. :-D

Having a Meetup is a great idea! I was wondering where and how I can link up with fellow Steemit sites in Boston. I should have thought of this - especially since I get Meetup invite emails all the time. Silly me.

Cheers. Having any existing teamaustralia tag and group has made it easier to connect with locals. If you don't have something similar you could do it more manually by hunting for mentions of Boston in profiles and posts to connect. I'm not actually using the meetup site since it costs so just promoting on Steemit.
