Its not just Canada. Its all over the world I guess. In UK taxable products have gone up sky high in the recent years. I think this is the reason why governments don't like Crypto or any related platforms. Crypto has compromised their ability to charge tax for each and every service or products we consume.
Forcing the world into a cashless society using the blockchain of their choosing can also turn out very badly if we aren't careful. Blockchains have the potential to affect and change every aspect of today's life. Hopefully, it's going to be for the better.
