gogo.tattoo team spent a weekend in a beautiful ancient town -- Shaxi.
While enjoying the scenery, we also found a new member of our community entirely by chance.

来到沙溪的主要目的，是想在环境美丽的地方发掘有趣的纹身店。
但在进入沙溪古镇之后，我们被当地的古镇文化所吸引，便走走看看各处。

The main purpose of coming to Shaxi is to explore interesting tattoo shops in this beautiful surroundings.
But when we first entered this ancient town, we already got attracted by the local ancient town culture and... Here is merely beautiful beyond any descriptions.
We had to have to walk around.

江苏太仓沙溪古镇始建于元末，历史资源得天独厚。
保留了江南水乡的独特风貌，吸引了众多游人流连于此。
这座古宅是沙溪镇上的标志性建筑物之一。
进入宅院之后，沙溪镇人民的生活状态栩栩如生的被各种细碎杂物展示呈现。

This ancient town was built in the Yuan Dynasty. It has a lot of unique historical resources.
The town retained the unique style of the Jiangnan Water Town, attracting some visitors here, while not being a very popular tourist destination yet.
This ancient house is one of the landmark buildings.
After entering the house, we can see the living conditions of the people in Shaxi town. The picture of local people's life is vividly presented by various kinds of small details in the house.

古宅位于塘东的主街，在这里居住的还都是原住民。
照顾古宅的婆婆和街坊邻居们沿街摆摊设点，卖一些便宜的小玩意儿。
日出而作，日入而息，一切还都是那么古朴自然。

The old house is located in the East Main Street.
An old lady who takes care of the house and her neighbors were staying along the street, setting up their stalls, selling some cheap gadgets.

当然图片里的并不是古宅里的全部，更有趣的风土人情和当地特色还是要亲自造访才能被完全发掘。

三里长街仍然演绎着明清时期小镇的富庶与繁华，与其平行的便是七浦河。
行走于此，我们忘却了都市的快节奏，时间像是被流水偷走了一般过的很快，然而我们的浮躁脚步却慢了下来。

The Three Mile Street still shows the richness and prosperity of this kind of small towns like in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Qipu river is parallel to this street.
Walking here, we forget the fast pace of the city. Time simply seems to be stolen by the river.

古镇上的居民们都忙着打理着自己的事务，茶馆中的游人们谈笑纷声。
沿街的小店铺里卖着一些古旧的东西，而店老板和友人在打着牌。

已经是傍晚，透过沿街的窗户，看见一家家人围在一起吃着晚餐，街坊邻居有时串门和邻居说上两句。
灯光下，当地手工艺人老爷爷正在画着扇面。
老奶奶坐在一旁，看看老爷爷，看看走过的游人。

Residents in the town are all busy with their own business. In a teahouse, local and touring people are laughing and chatting.
Shops in the streets, children were selling old things, while the shop owners and friends were playing cards.
It was late in the afternoon. When we saw through the windows near the street, there were families together having dinner.
A local craftsman was painting on a fan, while his wife sat aside.
She was looking at the tourists passing by, and gave husband a fond smile.

像这样美丽的街道，美丽的江南江南秀阁，总是得万千宠爱于一生。
沙溪的建筑朴素里带着静美，真是有江南小家碧玉的神思。
而这里的纹身店是什么样的呢？

Now I wonder, how do the tattoo shops around here look like?

从这家纹身店再向西走便走出了古镇，走出了三石里琅琅长街与河两岸的古朴建筑
但是我们仍然需要找寻古镇上的优秀纹身店。

From this tattoo shop we then go to the west, it is a way out of this town.
This place did not keep the ancient look of this beautiful town, so
But we still have to find the best tattoo shop in this old town.

绕过商业区，我们又再回到了古镇的入口。
We were back to the entrance.

沙溪有三作著名的桥——义兴桥、庵桥、新桥。
一座座单孔古桥，两水岸人情风貌，竟然有间这样特别的纹身店藏在这里。
因天时已晚，所以我们坐了当地的“黑车”去到了爱德华的在璜经的另一家纹身店。

I could not believe there might exist such a special tattoo shop in this place.
As it was getting late, we took a local "taxi" to another tattoo shop of Aidehua's.

在璜经，有许多有趣的东西。

There were some interesting things in Huangjin.
比如：

俄罗斯人不太喜欢的俄罗斯啤酒 Russian beers which couldn't suit Russian's taste.

山寨【肯德基】Fake "KFC"

这一晚我们与爱德华探讨了合作方案之后，发现交谈非常投机。
第二天，爱德华超级热情的带我们游览璜经。

Later this evening, we were discussing a cooperation ideas with our new artist and found that the conversation was very effective.
On the second day, he was super enthusiastic to show us around Huangjin.

长江超级美，而且这一段的港口对于当地来说是重要的。
太仓的纺织原料会通过这个港口运输到对岸的工厂加工。

The Yangtze River was stunningly beautiful, and this port is important for the local people here.
Taicang's textile raw materials will be transported through the port to the other side of the river for factory processing.

于是我们又谈起纹身

水乡文化加上纹身，你可以在沙溪找到
我已经可以想象，在一个阳光明媚的四月之季。
可以在这个沿着河岸的美丽纹身店坐下，掠两岸杨柳伴美景，纹身，音乐。
光是坐在这里，就已经惬意的不得了。

I can already imagine that, how is it to be here in a sunny April.
You can sit down at this beautiful tattoo shop along the river bank, enjoy this town, tattoos and music.

亦可悠悠漫步，买一小块当地传统的手工松软猪油米糕，或是红豆米糕
走马观花。

You also can walk leisurely, buy a small piece of local traditional rice cake.
To eat it while glancing over all these beautiful things.

沙溪古镇的美难以仅仅用文字和图片形容，沙溪的的美祇经岁月雕琢。
商业化让这里变得更有趣，留住了的不仅仅是老年居民，还有有趣的当地年轻人。
这里有龙舌兰酒吧，灯光昏暗，像是上海的小静吧。
有蓝山味道的咖啡屋，有冰淇凌，有得飘着热气的糕点店，牛肉面。
更有想带走时光的艺术家。

The beauty of the ancient town of Shaxi can hardly be described by words or pictures.
The beauty of Shaxi has been carved by many years. The commercialization has made this town a bit more interesting.
Now, this town is not just for elder people, but also for interesting local young people and tourists to have fun and enjoy life.
There's a tequila bar, dimly lit, like a quiet Shanghai bar.
Have a taste of coffee in the shop here. You also can have some ice cream in a bakery.
I bet the beef noodles would be also amazing to taste.

当地所有的商业，还是以当地居民起居为主。
这里可以寻得便宜的发廊，几块钱便能让发型师用心剪发。
这里有在大城市难以觅得的，经久耐磨的胶底布鞋，十几块便能得到一双。
这里的房檐下好像一直拥有一簇暖阳，就在那居民摆放在巷口的竹篾椅上。

在这里，原本带着枷锁的灵魂从身体里飞了出来，变得好慢，好慢。
在久居繁华都市之后，在这里兜兜转转，似乎找到了平静。
可以住在这里，用一个深夜的时间来聆听当地的吴侬软语，喝一壶茶，
然后用纹身墨汁记录下，在这种心境里，想对自己说的话。

All local businesses are mainly based on local residents.
Being here, you can find cheap hair salons, a few coins to get a nice hair cut.
The old style durable rubber sells shoes that would be difficult to find in a big city; but here, you can get a pair for ten kuai.
There seems to always have sunshine under the eaves, on the bamboo chairs which the residents placed in the alley .

After living in the bustling city, being here seemed to be a way to find peace.
You can live here, spend a night with locals, listen to the histories or have a pot of tea.
Then use ink to record what you want to say to yourself in this peaceful state of mind.
