Food Sharing #89 - Chinkalnia Georgian Restaurant @ Krakow, Poland
Hi Steemians,
I’ve never tried Georgian food before and while we were at Krakow, we found one with a pretty good rating near our Airbnb. We read that we need to try their dumplings and the stuffed mushrooms so we decided to give it a go since its so close to our place.
Let’s look at the menu first. Lucky there as an English menu for us.
We ordered a plate of dumplings with the coriander, stuffed mushrooms and the Adjarian Khachapuri which is bread with cheese with raw egg and butter. Drinks we ordered a coffee and an orange juice.
The dumplings were very very juicy and the coriander gave it the extra flavour. Please note that the dumplings are made fresh so it will take some time before it will be ready. The mushrooms were delicious! I love the cheese on top which made it extra special. The Adjarian Khachapuri looked heavy and my least favourite but then my other half thought it was as good as the dumplings. It was just too much with the cheese and raw egg for me. Maybe less cheese would be better for me.
The service was great and they even had toys for my little ones to play while we wait for the food. It was pretty quiet when we went but over the weekend, the place was packed when we walked past. It was crazy. The price was cheaper than what we expected to pay but then I guess everything in Krakow was a lot more affordable than Sydney. I guess we did find a great place to try our first Georgian meal.
