TacoCat's TrEats #20: Dining at D'Cuisines!

Hey Steemit!

So my parents recently found a new favourite restaurant called D'Cuisines - it's super near my house (about a 3 min drive away!), with free parking, fast service and delicious food! As my mum would say, what more could you ask for?

Anyway, they have quite a wide variety of food from both Indian & Chinese Cuisines, which I thought was very unique for a restaurant since most would just specialise in 1 cuisine. They also have a buffet menu but I haven't tried it yet.

The first time I ate there was just with my parents, and we ate tzi char (a Hokkien term used in Singapore to describe a Chinese stall that provides a wide selection of common and affordable dishes which approximated home-cooked meals).
We ordered 3 dishes to share among the 3 of us; claypot beancurd, sambal kangkong and har cheong gai (prawn paste chicken).

The food was really yummy! I'd say it's on par with any other tzi char stall I've eaten at, since this was quite usual fare. However, we definitely had better service and more comfortable ambience at this restaurant than at a normal hawker centre. The price is pretty much the same either way too!

My parents were full of compliments for D'Cuisines, and I knew we would be going there a lot more after that meal, which I don't mind since it is so near anyway. However, as it is located within the SIA Sports Club, it is probably not very convenient for non-residents (around the area) or non-members.

We've actually eaten there about 2 more times since the first meal, and are planning on booking a table for next month's LNY eve dinner. I can't wait to try their LNY dishes too! 😋

Thanks for reading!
