A little while back, I went with my grandfather to parker. Steaks & Scotch in Trumbull, Connecticut. We were on our way to an after-work business meeting and decided to stop and grab a bite to eat beforehand. parker. is an American restaurant known for their steaks and scotch. For some reason, they spell their name in lower case letters with a period at the end, so I honored that in this review. parker. also has two other locations in the state.
Although it's fairly close to my workplace, this was my first time ever visting parker. Steaks & Scotch. It's in a strip mall, but the interior is nice. We decided to sit up at the bar.
I ordered a Sea Hag from New England Brewing Company, as you can see in the photo above. It's a nice local IPA. It's always nice to get a drink in you before heading to a business meeting...
For a meal I ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich. It consisted of beer battered chicken breast, spicy slaw, tomato, avocado and provolone cheese in between two slices of toast. The chicken was not as crispy as I imagined, but it was a nice thick piece of meat. Overall it was a good sandwich. I really liked the spicy slaw on top.
I enjoyed my meal at parker. and I think my grandfather did too. It was a solid sandwich and definitely got the job done. It's not exactly a restaurant I will crave down the road, but it's nice to have some quality food nearby.
