A Delightful Indonesian Taste in Siargao, Philippines | Warung Authentic Indonesian Restaurant (REVIEW)
Warung Indonesian Restaurant offers excellent food specialties like Nasi Rames (a dish with small portions of rice, vegetables and meat.), their spicy noodle soup known as Laksa and Bakwan (fried vegetables) perfectly complimented with a relaxing ambiance and rhythmic indonesian music.
Be impressed with it's unique architecture for the place looks elevated which makes it more attractive. The restaurant is basically a mixed of Filipino and Indonesian architectural design. What makes it more touristy are the sands all over the ground.
The place is really spacious and can accommodate enough numbers of guests. The wooden displays on the wall and figurines make it more look like native and traditional. It can also truly every digital nomads working place in an Island for they have good enough internet connection compared
to any other restaurants and cafes in town.
I ordered one of their best sellers, AYAN PENYET. It's basically a fried chicken with toasted coconut crumbs topped with chili and sambal belacan on the side. It comes with a rice and vegetable salad. It only costs 250.00 (5.00 US Dollar.) As a frugal traveler, it's actully pricey however the quality worth the penny.
As for my drink, I had the avocado shake. I can definitely recommend this for its very satisfying and substantial. It only costs 120.00 pesos. (2.3172 US Dollar.)
The Menu
Their best sellers are NASI BUNGKUS it comes with a beef rendang ( beef stewed in coconut milk with bold spices ) chicken curry, hard boiled egg with sambal & sauteed water spinach , NASI CAMPUR which is a turmeric and lime-marinated fried chicken, beef rendang, vegetables in gulai topped with sambal belacan, the NASI RAMES which has friend chicken, beef rendang, string beans , sauteed with garlic and topped with green chili sambal, AYAM PENYET please see information above , MANTAP PADANG a beef rendang chicken gulai , eggplant balado, hard boiled egg cooked in Balinese spices and topped with green chili sambal and the NASI GORENG an indo fried rice in a medley of vegetable bits, meat and topped with fried egg.
If you are longing to try the best Indonesian cuisines and happens to visit Siargao this place could be the perfect place for you! Indeed, this could be one of Siargao's highlights with a great touch of culinary experience.
