Best Legendary Kway Teow in Jakarta, Indonesia
Hello, foodies!
Yesterday My mom and I had lunch in a kway teow restaurant on Wolter Monginsidi street. It was a branch of kwetiau sapi mangga besar 78.
How it looked from the outside
It was saturday around lunch time and we were lucky cause it wasn't crowded, which would never happened on working days.
Here was the dining area
It was cozy and had rustic modern style. It was also clean and neat. They also had the washing hand area and restroom.
The menu
Like the name, the speciality here was kway teow. Both of us also love kway teow. The weird thing was they didn't mention the price on the menu so you needed to ask them if you want to know.
We then only waited for only around 10 minutes to get our order delivered. The waiter was also helpful and nice.
Here what we ordered
Both of us ordered the kwetiau siram sapi. It was kway teow with thick bit soup and also beef. The beef was soft and tasty. The kway teow was the best. It had the perfect texture. And it had savory flavour. Really the best we ever tasted here!
The Price
We paid 106,000 IDR or around 7.57 USD for 2 portions of the kway teow, it was a bit expensive for kway teow but the taste was great.

You live in a different world, and when I compare the price to Austria, this is soo cheap. You had all this for 6 Euros 😂 , and it looks incredibly delicious. 😀
When I was in Singapore, I had lots of soup, and they looked very similar to this. They are so yummy but extremely salty. Are they salty in Indonesia as well?
And another question, do you celebrate Christmas 🤔?
