Chuck Wagon - A Local Favorite - A Tasteem Review
This local restaurant stated life as a truck stop. A few years ago it was taken over and remodeled by a Greek family. Today it is a cozy little restaurant serving a variety of food, including Greek cuisine.
This is the welcoming area when you first enter the building:
There is a bar side and a restaurant side, though you can be served food or alcohol in either location. This is the bar portion:
On the restaurant side there are some chalkboard signs with daily specials that you see on the walls:
You seat yourself in your preference of cozy booth or table and the waitress came immediately with menus and took our drink orders. Here is the menu, along with a list of Sunday specials:
I ordered the Sunday special of Roast Pork & Dressing with French Onion Soup.
The soup had a nice tasting broth with plenty of onions and cheese on top:
The roast pork was tender and flavorful and the dressing was moist. There was an abundance of gravy. The green beans, however, were very bland with no seasonings. The small addition of cranberry sauce was good.
A friend ordered the meatloaf special. He said the meatloaf was very good, but agreed with me that the green beans needed seasoning.
My husband ordered the Wagon Wheel breakfast, which is a specialty of theirs. You can see that the portion of ham is very generous, as well as the fried potatoes. He chose french toast as the side, and took them home with him.
In summary, this restaurant serves typical cafe style food, with hearty portions and a reasonable price. It is a friendly atmosphere with good service and I would recommend it for everyday eating out.

Oh I wish I could have those everyday! Great review, boss!
What a nice and cozy place. I really like the simple design of the place and the food looks really yummy too.
Ohhh roast pork, thats a family favorite :)
Nice place)) And the food looks delicious.
This looks like a very nice place to eat out at, I’m amazed at the French onion soup - it looks like more solids then liquid! It’s a shame the green beans were a little bland, but on the whole looks like you had some very good food.
