STEEM Food Tours #58: Mr Popiah 薄饼先生

Popiah , a spring roll originated from Fujian Province, China, is a popular dish in Singapore Malaysia hawker center or food court -as here we have a lot of Chinese are Fujian descendant. (Popiah literally means "Thin cake" in Chinese Hokkien dialect)
薄饼是一种源自福建的小食，所以在福建人较多的新马一带的小贩中心都是轻易可以找到的。

Today I would like to introduce fellow Steemians a nice popiah stall, which I often patronize (almost weekly) and of which located in a food court of the mall near my house.
今天要介绍给大家的是 @auleo 我常关顾、在市镇中心商场食阁的这家 Mr. Popiah 。

Actually this popiah shop they operate it much like those in Subway. Customers get to choose whatever ingredients they prefers into their popiah. But we just get used to just order those standard popiah in the menu.
其实他家弄得有点像赛百味一样的，顾客可以自己选薄饼的馅料，但是我们一般都是点餐牌上的标准薄饼。

And of all the popiah type they offer, I think the most special is this Sushi Popiah- though I think this Sushi Popiah most likely originated from KL, where after few years I first tried in KL, then only I found Sushi Popiah in Singapore. But this popiah shop I think further integrate with the modus operandi in Subway & more healtier choices
其中我觉得可以介绍给大家的是这个寿司薄饼，虽然我自己觉得这寿司薄饼极可能源自吉隆坡（我好几年前在吉隆坡第一次吃过后，才在新加坡找到它的踪迹）。但是我家附近的这家又好像再结合赛百味的做法-较健康的食材。

Do you think this Sushi Popiah decoration looks the same as those sushi restaurant's Sushi ?
有没有觉得这寿司薄饼摆设有点像寿司的摆设呢？

Personally I think sushi popiah is of more healthier choice, especially when we do not prefer to take in heavy dinner, on top of their ingredients are of fresher and all vege. Do you feel irresistible too ? Do drop by if you happen to visit Ang Mo Kio , Singapore.
