Why Did I Visit Eaton Bakery and Restaurant?

Tonight I need snacks that are warmly enjoyed. My head feels very full of tasks in the office all day. I just need a snack, not playing dish.

Before I visited Eaton Bakery and Restaurant, I had eaten a meal, so I didn't want more food.

EATON MENU.jpg

This restaurant offers Chinese dishes, with some "peranakan" menus. The "Peranakan" menu is a designation for foods whose recipes come from the result of mixing Chinese, Malaysian, Singaporean cultures due to the cross-breeding of Chinese immigrants in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

About Space

THE SPACE.jpg

The place provided at Eaton Bakery and Restaurant is not too wide, but the atmosphere is quite comfortable because it is warm. The room is in a modern décor with warm brown benches.

There is a window for the bakery on the front. Various kinds of bakery are provided which make visitors have many choices.

My Choices

I chose a side dish but I was sure I could get rid of my headache. I chose Bubur/Porridge Cha-Cha, Mayonnaise Sauce and Chinese Tea which was served warm.

Bubur/Porridge Cha-Cha

BUBUR CHA-CHA.jpg

This traditional snack can be used as a dessert, as a dish for breakfast, or enjoyed on cold days. Bubur/Porridge Cha-Cha is not original dish from China, but has experienced a cultural mix between Malay and Chinese.

Bubur/Porridge Cha-Cha or also called Bo Bo Cha-Cha is very popular in Malaysia. Usually this sweet taste dish is enjoyed by the Chinese immigrant community in Malaysia when Chap Goh Meh or in Malaysia, the day is marked as Chinese Valentine's Day.

I like the Bubur/Porridge Cha-Cha served warm. The broth is made from coconut milk and milk. Fillings in the form of sweet potatoes, bananas, jackfruit, sago flour and tapioca are chewy.

The contents of the Bubur/Porridge Cha-Cha dish look interesting because it displays a variety of bright colors.

Lumpia (Spring Rolls) With Mayonnaise

LUMPIA.jpg

Traditional snacks are traditional Chinese dishes. In Indonesia too many variations of spring rolls with various contents.

2 LUMPIA.jpg

For the spring rolls version of Eaton Bakery and Restaurant, to be honest I don't like it because the contents in Lumpia are too few vegetables, so the texture is too dense with filling skin. Supposedly if the Lumpia fill is more vegetables or meat, then it will be even more delicious.

Chinese Tea

This is my helper tonight, besides Bubur/Porridge Cha-Cha! Thank you for the warmth of Chinese tea that drove the headache in my head.

I add sugar to my Chinese Tea because I need sugar today.

My body and mind are really fresh with this Chinese Tea!

Tonight the tension in me has vanished because of the warm Chinese dish.

See you on my next Yummy Travel.

Wow that looks so good! I love the sound of that Bubur, I’d love to try that!

"Bubur" or called porridge is very easy to make at home. For the broth, you only need coconut milk. But be careful so that the coconut milk can be thickened perfectly, and the texture does not break.

For filling are sweet potatoes and bananas.

Thank you for coming to my post, @princessmewmew
