Structure Proposals Questionnaire

Hello,

I will try to answer the questionnaire done by the @steemalliance group, even if some point have not been detailed in the initial post. A follow up final proposal post is planned till the 1st of April with a lot more details and structure.

The clear picture will be when the final proposal will be submitted.

Overview/ Executive Summary- In a few paragraphs describe, in simple terms, your structure design and its purpose.

It shall be an elected foundation with the primary focus to bring businesses and users to the Steem blockchain. It shall act as an incubator for the chain. The foundation members shall be elected on terms by the Steem users.

Purpose - What is the primary purpose of your structure?

The purpose is to have an accelerator which can help the projects (and the individuals) on the Steem blockchain grow faster.

Primary Benefit(s) (of this structure) - What are the benefits of your structure design? What problems does it solve? How does it benefit the community?

First it helps that the community has a voice. The once elected represent different regions and different views on the Steem blockchain and not only a region. We mostly connect within our time zone mostly and ignore the other side of the world.

Mission - What are the goals in this proposed foundation and how will they be achieved?

Mission is to have an accelerator for self sustainable projects being it business or represented by an individual. By multiplying the number of this projects the Steem blockchain evolves.

Organizational Structure - What will the actual structure of the foundation look like?

The start of the foundation shall have the elected membes and a Steemit Inc representative in the board. There shall be a legal hire together with an accountant specialized in foundations and crypto.

Foundation Members - How will the members of the foundation and their roles be decided?

The members will be elected by the Steem users on a term base, based on the location. There shall be 2 representative for each continent. The initial foundation members shall set the roles at first through vote. A Steemit Inc representative shall have a sit in the board to have a majority on votes.

Leadership - What levels of leadership, if any, will be involved?

Board shall take decisions as a whole, voting on every matter. There is no need for a CEO as each member has the same responsibility and power.

Community Involvement/Communication - What role does the community play in your structure? How will they be represented? How will communication be kept open?

The community elects the board and submits the proposal. Every two weeks on the same day and hour there shall be a post with updates. Comments shall be answered by the board members. A deeper level of communication is only a waste of time for the members. Work is hindered when somebody is 24/7 present on a discord server.

Accountability - How will this foundation (under your structure) hold themselves accountable to the community? How, if any, will the community be able to remove members if they fail to hold true to the principles and mission put forth by the approved structure?

Foundation members are not paid directly. They get a commission from the project that are helped to be successful. At every term end which shall be a maximum of 2 years, profit made from launched project is shared between the foundation and the members. Like this the accountability is higher. If a member wants to step back, the next elected from his region takes his place. if the board sees fit to change a member a veto vote is needed. All other members need to agree on it.

Fiat Legal Structure - What type of entity is it?

Foundation outside of the US. The US is very restrictive to the rest of the world. Mentioned alternatives: Singapore, Malta, Gibraltar, Swiss, etc.

Foundation Funding - How will your structure be funded? Will it depend on fundraising, profit based ideas, donations, etc?

Initial funding from Steem Inc to start the foundation rolling. Donations are accepted but this shall not be the purpose. No membership fee structure shall be in place.

The funding shall come from the projects that have entered the foundation acceleration and have come to maturity. The foundation shall have shares on a long term basis on this projects.

Project Funding - How will future projects be funded? What process will be included? What role, if any, does the community play in this?

Future projects shall have the seed stage where funds, logistics, manpower, consultancy is provided by the foundation. In exchange shares are given to the foundation. The foundation shall have a representative in each project sustained. Forms of funding can be delegation, liquid Steem and the other mentioned facilities. Community is updated every 2 weeks on progress and can submit proposals.

Collaboration/Interaction- How do you see your foundation design interacting with projects like the coming Steem Worker Proposal (Steem DAO) by Blocktrades?
