Dirty hands heroes
I took these pictures in Altos de Arenales in June 2015. They are Rafael and his son Douglas Quintero.
Father and son work the land forever. His biggest problem in those moments of the beginning of the crisis was the price of fertilizers. Probably now their problems have been duplicated and they have found alternative - and hopefully ecological - methods for fertilizers.
Although many in the higher parts of Trujillo prefer strawberry planting, because it leaves better profits, Rafael and his son continue to plant potatoes. The potato feeds peoples in their best and worst moments, they said smiling.
Working at about 3000 meters above sea level will always be a difficult task. One moves more slowly and there are those who, when they visit, suffer from the "evil of the moor". That's why I appreciate twice the work of Rafael, his son Douglas and all those who, like them, feed us every day.

Enjoy it! 📷
Thanks a lot!

Saludos
Súper agradecida por su apoyo!
