In assessing the clinical situation, we are always late, because we can distinguish and isolate in the patient's body for the time being only gross morphological changes in the internal organs, which are the result of already extensive destruction and can be recognized by modern research methods, such as X-rays, computed tomography or biopsy. Therefore, we begin to apply the modern "heavy arsenal" of medicine only when so much "damage" has already occurred in the body of the patient, in his internal organs, that we can notice them.
The reasons for the backwardness of medicine are that it is still empirical and casuistic. Today, medicine does not have its own full-fledged theory that could explain the current state of the patient and give an accurate prediction of the state of his organism in the future. The level of analysis and forecast, existing, for example, in physics, is not yet available to us.
Physics is divided into three subspecies - experimental (empirical), theoretical (analytical) and practical (engineering). The experimental physics extracts the facts, the theoretical - explains them, and the engineering - uses them. Medicine exists so far in the singular. We call it practical (or clinical, empirical, casuistic, etc.), which, by and large, differs little from the experimental one. There is no analytical medicine, analogous to which is theoretical physics, because medicine does not have a corresponding analytical tool, like physical theories with their developed mathematical apparatus. And there is no practical medicine in the form in which it is understood in physics. Every clinical case for a doctor is always an experiment where the doctor acts more on the basis of his intuition than on a sober and reasonable calculation, like an engineer. We want to act on the basis of accurate knowledge, so there was a so-called "evidence-based" medicine. But this is not an analytical medicine, because it so far proves little and differs little from conventional conventional medicine, experimental in its essence.
Today several types of medicine are officially recognized and simultaneously coexist: homeopathic, alternative, many types of national medicine (Chinese, Filipino, etc.) and conventional, the one recognized by the Ministry of Health of developed countries as its main tool for providing medical care to the population.
