Today's physician is not familiar with system analysis, but only with structural analysis, because the modern nomenclatural classification of diseases is based only on it. The doctor thinks only in terms of inflammation, tumors, hyper- or hypotrophy, structural degeneration of various organs, such as lung sarcoidosis, atherosclerotic plaque in the coronary artery or cardiomyopathy, ie, categories of anatomo-morphological analysis. He has no concept of systemic functional units, although the lack of functions for him is primarily related to the change in the structure and form of the organ and all these changes for him are the "enemies" against which he must fight.
But all these changes, which are the consequence of any processes in the body (the consequence of diseases), are the result of completely different states of it and the attitude towards them also must be different. Inflammation, for example, is one of the "main our enemies" and in the presence of inflammation in the patient the doctor starts to fight primarily against him. But the same inflammation is a certain protective reaction of the patient's body against any external influence (trauma, infection, etc.), has certain phases and corresponding mechanisms. Part of these mechanisms at the beginning of the process is designed to neutralize the external impact that destroys the body, and the other part - to restore those damages that have arisen from this impact. Inflammation is carried out by a certain system, limited by its functional reserves, and which has its subsystems and its elements of execution and management. And if these reserves are sufficient, this system completely neutralizes the destructive external impact and completely eliminates all destruction, restoring the destroyed systemic functional units. But if the resources of the system are not enough, then the completion of the phases of inflammation can have a different ending, depending on which of its subsystems are insufficient. And these endings are the destruction of systemic functional units of various body systems, the same infiltrates, tumors, hyper- and / or hypotrophies, empyema, suppuration and other various structural degenerations of tissues that we can detect using structural research methods. Therefore, in the initial phases of inflammation, we should not fight it (with inflammation), if there is no excessive hyper- or hyporeaction, but should help it, eliminating excessive external influence (radical therapy). And in the subsequent phases, we can not or can not very help him (inflammation), because for the time being we are not able to grow new systemic functional units (restorative and symptomatic therapy). But if subsequent inflammatory reactions become perverse and pathological, then we can stop them, interrupting the vicious cycle (radical and symptomatic therapy).
Such an approach to the patient's problems is possible only if the organism is examined as a single system and only from the positions of system analysis. But for this you need to know the body's systems, know all the possible functions and mechanisms of simple and complex reactions of these systems, such as inflammation, clotting of blood, streams, pressure, excretion or absorption, and to know the consequences of these reactions. Today we only know the consequences of the reactions of some systems, but we do not know the systems of the body, we do not know their functions and reactions from the positions and principles of system analysis, because we do not know how to use system analysis.
