Time travel in Istanbul

in #swmchallenge6 years ago (edited)

 Hi friends!

There are so many fabulous and interesting places in Istanbul that my head is spinning. I don't even know how long it takes to visit everything.

Today we visit the fabulously-educational institution that bears the name Rahim Mustafa Koç Müzesi. This place can hardly be called a Museum. A kind of educational town, which is located on an area of 27 thousand square meters. The Museum is dedicated to the history of industry, transport and communications. Here it will be interesting to all from small to large. In Turkey there are three museums, which was founded by Rahim M. Koch. Besides Istanbul, there are also Ayvalik in Ankara.

In 1991, Rahim M. Koch bought the property, which belonged to the old foundry shops "Lengerhane". Rakhmi Koch told reporters that from the age of seven he wanted to collect a collection of "industrial wonders". It happened after the father, the founder of the holding, gave his son for his birthday an electric railway.

The Museum in Istanbul was opened in 1994. It is located on the Bank of the Golden Horn. The founder of the Museum Rahim M. Koch. The Koch family is one of the richest families in Turkey. In 1926, Akhmet Koch was the Foundation of the company, which in our time is the largest holding Koç Holding. The holding is included in the Forbes Global 2000 list. About this enterprise it is necessary to tell separately. I will only say that 10% of Turkey's national production is accounted for by companies that are part of Koç Holding. The main buildings of the Museum were built in the era of the Ottoman Empire. The holding completely restored the buildings. Now they look exactly as many years ago.

The ticket price is $ 4. If there is a Museum map of Istanbul-3 dollars. In the Museum Koch need to go in the morning. In quick mode, you can see everything in about five hours. Ideally, a visit to the Museum should be divided into two days, if possible. For children there is a Paradise. The Museum develops, educates and teaches. Everything is equipped with the latest technology. Everywhere interactive technologies. The Museum is like a time machine. There is an amazing planetarium on site.

At the entrance to the Museum, visitors enter the world of miniatures. It is difficult even to imagine such diversity, which is presented in the exhibitions in different halls.

The miniatures show all professions in historical times. Every detail, tools and materials, everything - in great detail.

A lot of models of houses in miniatures. The rooms are fully equipped. Even showing scenes of people's lives.

A miniature table of Dr. witch doctor with all the tools.

Another room in miniature with furniture

Collection of weapons in miniature. A length of not more than 6 cm

And how do you like such a store in miniature? The goods are laid out as in the present Turkish store. Everything is attractive and very appetizing!

The next room is interesting for understanding the work of technology. Girls learn the structure of the car. The hood and one side of the car are covered with transparent material. Left green button. You can click and see how all the parts of the car work. On the right is the engine of a large truck, you can see all the dynamics of the process.

Following are the appliances, where children interactively get information about the operation of a gas-stove, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, refrigerator, etc. also presented In the hall of the invention and complete information on what, where and when. A separate interest is the history of the company "Apple". It is very interesting that all the equipment is in working condition. You can try everything and touch it. Feel like an airplane pilot, captain of a ship or a boat. Make a mental time travel in old trams and trains.

The Museum has a huge number of vintage branded cars. According to statistics, men often come to see this collection. All machines look great and are in working condition.

At 15: 00 you can ride on the train of the old model along the Golden Horn with beautiful views. You don't need to pay anything extra. The trip takes only fifteen minutes.

Following are tractors, trucks and fire trucks

There are racing cars

This is the car of Sultan Abdulaziz and his wax figure in the car. The carriage was built in 1866 specifically for the Sultan's journey through Europe. In the large salon there are many different historical locomotives and cars of different classes.
