🎵 Steemit Vision Quest - “The Message Of The Moon” (Original Song)
“The Message Of The Moon” is a sing-along song, designed for group singing. The format is a call-and-response, with repeating verses, inviting everyone to sing together in unison. It's one of our family's favorite bedtime songs, especially during the times of the full moon, recognizing the moon's special way of exemplifying the divine mother figure.
I sung this one in the desert one week ago, under the moonlight, connecting. For those who don't already know, I just returned from a retreat to the desert wilderness with 30 brothers. It was a Journey rich with the feeling of harmony and unity with people and with Nature. Returning home, I'm filled with gratitude for these experiences in the desert, and I'm grateful for a gentle return to Steemit.
The Rio Grande thrives in the borderless region shared by Texas and Mexico, with bamboo chutes towering.
Wildflowers and wildlife concentrate in the foothills, with colorful mountains in every direction.

The Story
This song arrived on October 25, 2015, with Seu Luiz Mendes visiting us in Austin, from Brazil. It was another night like tonight, with the moon nearly full, with clouds rolling by. The moon’s glow lit the nearest clouds, and their movement resembled the swaying of a woman’s hair, tossed in the wind. To me, this scene looked like a woman swimming in the sky, with the moon as her face.

The Process
My creative process for this music performance is simply a matter of entering the Flow, and documenting. Entering the Flow state was easy at this time, still primed after a week in the wild. I closed by eyes, played a hypnotic riff on the guitar, and breathed my way Home. For the recording, I setup a camera (Canon 5D Mark III) and audio recording device (Zoom 4), to handle the documentation. My editing environment is Adobe Premiere, which you can see in the screenshot.
The Quest

I give thanks for your recent desert journey. Understanding that all things we experience when we commune with nature, the elements, the atmosphere, the sun, moon, planets and stars and let us not forget the wind. Is not meant for us to share in detail because the experience is just for us.
The universe also wants you to remember the fire that danced in your presence while it secretly and sacredly burned away all outdated and no longer needed things in your life and, the fire your experienced in the desert was a purification of a spiritual kind. In dreams, many of these elements of nature will return, and sup with you.
They are symbols, guides, and tools for our journey. The messenger that will accompany us all our days.
I am sensing though that the tall grass, looking like wheat fields, bamboo chutes, wildflowers were writing you a message in nature, a sacred message and it was delivered to you by the radiate Sun in the day and the magnetic moon powering in its distinct energies at night.
The messages nature gave you on this jouney is yet to be unwrapped because it was given not to your physical(which is also why you are not verbal about it ) but to your spirit and soul that speaks a language not of this world that is coded and connected to our dna, our soul and spirit.
I hear the universe telling me to tell you that as you journey forward, remember the wind upon your skin, rememember how the moon made you feel, remember all the sounds that only this outdoor area of nature can give. Your quest in the desert that was divinely timed and planned was an experience and elixir, a spiritual celebration needed to open a door higher levels that you will now embark on.
There are new adventures that will be surreal, when days so quickly will turn into night and you will discover that time did not stand still but that it does not really exist and because we live in our Spirit and soul in a nonlinear existence your desert experience will always be within your reach for you to access and draw strength and wisdom and insight and enlightenment from. Welcome back Wishing you Joy and Happiness in life.

What a gift you are, wow. I am astounded by your generosity, with your words, your energy, your encouragement. Thank you. So much depth to your comment here. So much insight. Yes, the wind, the wind, the wind, I must remember the gifts of the wind. The wind is such a Force in that desert, bringing fierce churning and turning, making a dramatic difference, creating a sense of release and relief... "You teach us in the country to sway with the wind."
In fact, I've battled the wind at times in my life. It feels good to recognize the blessings of that natural phenomenon now, and adjust myself to the wind, acclimate to the winds of change.

Your presence has been missed, so glad you are back.
