This was clean day with good waves. They are powerful and close to the beach here. When a storm passes right over us it gets a lot more like a washing machine/ chaotic.
No, there are lots of days at this beach with no surf at all and not many people in the water. In the summer there a lots of kids and people playing around in the water but they aren't surfing. When the waves are good it's an expert level wave!
Oh the film days! That sounds prehistoric now. But the other day in the store I saw brand new models of the Polaroid camera, I didn't know they still made them!

It's not normal. We get a big swell occasionally. Maybe i will go count how many days i got good waves last season. It's not that many.

Oh I see, thanks for explaining that. So on the relatively few days that the waves are good you are out there taking pictures.
Yes! I have been doing that for about ten years now. I took photos in the film days too but not so much as now.
