Very beautiful-- interesting the "tricks" mountains can play with the light. In winter, the sun sets "into" the mountains we look at from my back porch, and on a few rare occasions we have gotten a similar "fire effect."

I must confess I haven't been part of many contests so far; half the time I end up finding out "too late," or being in the wrong place at the wrong time (aka busy with work) and just don't get to it.
