SunThursday - Missing Vacation
Hello,
Today I had a long day with a lot of meetings. Wanted to look for a picture and stumbled over a folder with pictures from vacation. For over a year we had no real vacation. The free days I have are usually working days where we do things that are left behind. At Christmas, we always go to our parents but this is not a holiday because when we arrive there, we have to visit many relatives, do a lot of paperwork and of course spend time with the parents.
The photo from above was taken during the last sunset on our last holiday. We stood in the desert, away from the group and enjoyed the last rays of sunshine.

heute hatte ich wieder ein langes Tag mit Meetings. Wollte ein Bild suchen und bin über ein Ordner gestolpert mit Bilder aus dem Urlaub. Seit über einem Jahr hatten wir kein richtigen Urlaub. Die freien Tage die ich habe sind meistens Arbeitstage wo wir Sachen erledigen die hängen geblieben sind. Weihnachten fahren wir immer zu unseren Eltern aber das ist kein Urlaub weil wenn wir da ankommen, müssen wir viele Verwandte besuchen, müssen viel Papierkram erledigen und natürlich Zeit mit den Eltern verbringen.
Das Foto von oben wurde gemacht bei dem letzten Sonnenuntergang bei unserem letzten Urlaub. Wir standen in der Wüste, entfernt von der Gruppe und haben die letzten Sonnenstrahlen genossen.

We were on the beach earlier that day. I like beaches where there are not so many people. Just lie in the shade, read and sleep. And of course, swim in the crystal clear water.
I miss that. This year, because of the many projects that we, so my wife and I have, there will be no vacation. We wanted to fly to Cuba because of my skin condition because supposedly there is a clinic that has a treatment for my skin. Let's see if it will fit next year.
Until then, this year we will look at the pictures from the past holidays. So far, we have never looked at them, I have to admitt.

Früher an dem Tag waren wir am Strand. Ich mag Strände wo es nicht so viele Leute gibt. Einfach im Schatten liegen, lesen und schlaffen. Und klar, schwimmen in das Kristallreine Wasser.
Das vermisse ich. Dieses Jahr, wegen der vielen Projekten die wir, also meine Frau und ich haben, muss Urlaub ausfallen. Wir wollten nach Cuba fliegen wegen meiner Haut Kondition weil angeblich da gibt es eine Klinik die eine Behandlung hat für meine Haut. Mal sehen ob es nächste Jahr passen wird.
Bis dann, dieses Jahr werden wir uns die Bilder aus den vergangenen Urlaube anschauen. Bis jetzt hatten wir diese nie angeschaut, muss ich sagen.

That's beautiful! This year I'm planning to visit Medellin, Tbilisi, and Kuala Lumpur - I am hoping to set up bases in each city and rotate between them. The exceptional business environment, weather, and low cost of living in these cities are attractive to me.
This cities are also on my bucket list to visit. I've never been there and can't say anything about them, but they are on the bucket list.
It is seen that you enjoyed, this year I will not go on vacation, but I liked the photos you published, a pleasant place.
