Sinulog Parade!

SINULOG Festival 2018,officially started on Friday, January 12, with an opening salvo and launching parade participated by various schools and firms in Metro Cebu.

Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña officially opened the festival, which is an annual celebration in honor of Sto. Niño, or the child Jesus. The launching parade started at 4 p.m. at the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu, passed through Colon Street and Osmeña Boulevard, and ended at the Cebu City Sports Center.

So...Sinulog-Santo Niño Festival is an annual cultural and religious festival held on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City, and is the centre of the Santo Niño Catholic celebrations in the Philippines.

The festival is considered to be first of most popular festivals in the Philippines, with every celebration of the festival routinely attracting around 1 to 2 million people from all over the Philippines every year. Aside from the religious aspect of the festival, Sinulog is also famous for its street parties, usually happening the night before and the night of the main festival.

Every year we are looking forward to this event for our Santo Niño or the child Jesus. Various of people coming from different places and countries celebrating and uniting as one.

This is our photo with my cousins before we arrive Cebu. It's an 1 hour and half riding a vehicle from Lapu-lapu city. Preparing ourselves for the celebration to go to church and seeing different artists of our country..
