Hollywood Walk of Fame: Fake it till you make it!

The Hollywood Walk of Fame contains 2,600 five-pointed stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood. The first idea came about in 1952 as a marketing tactic. And nowadays it runs 2,1 km.

The names are mix of actors, musicians, directors, producers and others. Some of them are empty, they are waiting for new owners.
There are some permanent marks with special honorees, for example Los Angeles Police Department, Victoria's Secret and the Los Angeles Dodgers...
You can find 16 fictional celebrities with Walk of Fame stars - Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, The Simpsons...

FUN FACT: $40,000 that's the amount that's worth to create, install, and maintain the star.
