Memorial Day
In 2004, I had the honor of attending the opening of the World War II Memorial in Washington DC. I was there as a part of a choral ensemble that sang at some of the Memorial Day activities around the area. In this picture we see a veteran (the first people allowed in to the memorial were veterans) being escorted through the new site. It was a somber day but it was also very special to see these men and women properly honored.
