Streetphotography – Seville of my Grandfather / La Sevilla de mi Abuelo.

Seville is a beautiful and historic city located in the Province of Andalucía, in the South of Spain. In a small town on the outskirts of there, called Sanlucar la Mayor, my grandfather was born, my mother's father, whom I did not know because he died when she was only 4 years old. The truth is that I grew up listening to anecdotes and experiences of my relatives, what they did in its cobbled streets, the Torre del Oro, the Guadalquivir River, and the Giralda, that imposing cathedral that can be seen at the bottom of this photograph. It is quite an experience to walk through the historic center, where many cultures and citizens of the world still converge, especially in this era, where the celebration of Catholic Easter is a spectacle.

Sevilla es una bella e histórica ciudad ubicada en la Provincia de Andalucía, en el Sur de España. En un pequeño pueblo en las afueras de allí, llamado Sanlucar la Mayor nació mi abuelo, el papá de mi mamá, a quien no conocí porque murió cuando ella tenía apenas 4 años de edad. Lo cierto es que crecí escuchando anécdotas y vivencias de mis familiares, de lo que hacían en sus calles empedradas, de la Torre del Oro, del río Guadalquivir, y la Giralda, esa imponente catedral que se observa al fondo de esta fotografía. Es toda una experiencia caminar por el casco histórico, donde aún convergen muchas culturas y ciudadanos del mundo, sobre todo en esta época, donde la celebración de la semana santa católica es todo un espectáculo.
