I was in Frankfurt am Main, but unfortunately we didn't have much time to explore and I missed the nice thing you write about. It must look phenomenal, many padlocks symbolizing eternal love 💘
I heard that something like that is in Wroclaw in Poland (a bit closer), and I wanted to hang my padlock there, but when I heard that due to bridge overload the padlocks from time to time are taken off by the managers - the whole romanticism had broken.
Yes, it's a problem at some places, because the padlocks are so heavy, in Paris there was a railing of a bridge breaking because of that a few years ago. I hope you will find a nice place for your padlock! 🙂
