The Unknown World - Entry to the Story Cube Contest #8 by @jacobtothe

  Unfortunately, I didn’t had time to enter the #7th Story cube challenge because of my schoolwork :( But fortunately this week, I got sometime left to enter the #8th challenge :)Here are the cubes I chose

  Here’s my story,     

  It was a normal day in Colombo. Everything was calmed. There was a cool wind whorl. The town clock rang 4.00pm. But it wasn’t a good day to Kathie. She was thinking about her friend Wilma while going back to home. Everyone she met seemed like Wilma. She was so sad. She fell in to the bed just when she was back at home. She closed her eyes.   

 “It’s been 3 days since Wilma disappeared. We played tennis the last time we were together. Then she had returned home but since that night, she hasn’t been seen by anyone. As her mother said she went to sleep but there hasn’t been anything susceptible. Everyone in her family is crying so much since then. The police and everyone is looking for her now. I can’t just get my mind off of it because I remember the times we’ve been together playing, joking and smiling. I wasn’t able to do anything right since then.”

Blood was pumping so hard on her head. But she wasn’t discouraged. She thought, thought, thought and finally she remembered that there was a newspaper article about some other students has been disappeared. She got up from bed and searched for that newspaper to find out some information. While she was searching for it, a newspaper fell on her foot and when she saw it she was surprised.

There was a heading “To where does the disappearing things go to?” She took it to the table and read it very carefully. As it said, there are doors in Colombo and some other cities to the place where the disappearing things go to. She took a map to the door in Colombo and got a torch, water, food and some things ready. She was ready to search for Wilma there!

She left a note to her parents saying not to worry about her and that she was going on a journey to a nearby city. Then she left without catching anyone’s eye. She followed the map but the only thing she met after following was a big stone wall.

She was so sad and tears kept running down her cheeks. She sat on a nearby big rock. Suddenly the rock sank down little by little but she didn’t realized it at the first place. It was too late when she realized it. She was screaming but it was no use.

She was going deeper and deeper and deeper. Finally she met sandy ground. She opened her eyes. She thought that she was dead. She got up and walked so much. She saw something very big moving. Then there were so many big things and then she recognised that they were giants!

While she was walking, a giant came towards her. She ran fast thinking that she’d be crushed. But unfortunately, while she was running, she hit another giants’ leg. The giant looked down to see who it was. Kathie screamed soo hard and ran faster. But it was no use. 

The giant screamed saying KATHIE!!! Then Kathie looked up to see who it was. The giant has Wilmas' face!!! 

"WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING HERE KATHIE??? GO BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THERE IS...."

the giant couldn't finish his words. An old man came towards Kathie and pulled out a copy of Kathie's face by a big magnet. Just when he did it, Kathie grew very big and she was just like the other giants!!! 

"Now there's no way of going away from here you little fool HaHaHa..." said the old man in a cunning voice.
