Here are five important facts you need to know about today's lunar eclipse.
The lunar eclipse will start around 20.30 (depending on the region of Poland it may be slightly earlier or later).
The total phase will take place around 21.30 and will last one hour and 43 minutes . Then gradually the Moon will begin to emerge from the shadows.
The maximum eclipse phase will be 22.22 hours.
Eclipse July 27 will be the longest lunar eclipse in 100 years.
The uniqueness of the eclipse is also added by the fact that we will also deal with the so-called bloody moon. The Earth satellite will turn red. This will be visible already in the full eclipse phase and will last until around midnight. The phenomenon of the bloody moon is related to the fact that the satellite enters the shadow of our planet, which causes more light filtered by the Earth's atmosphere.
