ONE TRUE LOVE: tales of a hopeless romantic (part1)

I was with you. I lay in your arms, resting my head on your laps while you stroked my hair tenderly. It made me quiver in excitement. Your eyes locked onto mine, speaking a thousand words incomprehensible to the mind of the ordinary. I understood your gazes. There was a rainbow above us, and we sat in a garden filled with butterflies and flowers. You kissed me in the cold breeze blowing on us. We were happy, happier than we'd ever been. The radiance of your face made the sky question the place of every star, for two had been locked in your eyes. Your touch gave me ceaseless pleasure. I took you on my arms, held you close to my heart and hugged you. The warmth of your body and your scent transcended the physical. It pierced my soul. And just as I was about to taste the warmth of your lips my fears came alive. You were gone. I never got to memorize your face. Then I realised I had been dreaming with my eyes open, rather "wide shut". I had been daydreaming, the eleventh one today.

My name is Myles, and I'm a hopeless romantic. I believe there's always someone for everyone. I believe love heals all wounds. I believe love is the answer to all the world's problems, "for God is love".

In a world where love is nothing but fairytale. Where romance only means foreplay. A world where social status formed the basis for any relationship. This world where sex, pornography, rape and violence is placed on the pedestal. Alas, it is in this world I find my existence.

They say I'm different. That I'm old-fashioned and weird. The call me names. At school I'm bullied daily. They pick on me for choosing to stick with value in a lawless world. They beat me up and shove me to the wall. They steal my belongings and break my soul. Three years I've lived this life, enduring till I have no patience left.

That day began like every other day. I'd gotten ready for school and was about leaving when I caught sight of someone. She was tall, fair and stunning. She was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. I felt butterflies in my tummy and a sharp jolt in my heart. " Behold, bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh".
Yes I believe in love at first sight.

It was lunchtime. I sat
alone at the table and within seconds I'd gone round the world and back, explored the planets and vastness of outer space. The extraterrestrial plane welcomed me, and just as I was about to enter into another trance someone called my attention. She was the same girl. Her name was Frances.
