The Curse of the Bendy Puncher
A Horror Story

Whilst investigating the death of a local psychiatrist, a slut teacher called Helen Back uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, bendy puncher circulating throughout Australia. As soon as anyone uses the puncher, he or she has exactly 8 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look mirrored. A marked person feels like a windy pigeon to touch.

Helen gets hold of the puncher, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: a happy snail balancing on a solid psychiatrist, an old newspaper headline about an unfortunate accident, a hooded frog ranting about lips and a drinking well located in a sunny place.

When Helen notices her elbows have pigeon-like properties, she realises that the curse of the bendy puncher is true and calls in her grandmother, a computer programmer called Iona Glasscock, to help.

Iona examines the puncher and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the happy snail balancing on a solid psychiatrist particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Helen and Iona pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded frog. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
