Stella Virgin suspected something was a little off when her dirty daddy tried to punch her when she was just six years old. Nevertheless, she lived a relatively normal life among other humans.

It wasn't until she bumped into the devilishly short demon, Holden McGroin, that her life finally began to make sense.

However, Holden proved to be ruddy and seemed to have an unhealthy obsession with walking. Stella soon learnt that Holden had taken an oath never to eat a human being.

When Stella's dirty daddy is injured in a sausage accident, Stella realises her own life is at risk.

Despite Holden's black fur and grumpy disposition, Stella finds herself falling for the demon. Only fate will decided whether he kills or protects her.

One night, a gargoyle appears before Stella and warns her of a darkness within Holden. The gargoyle gives Stella the ribbed blade - the only weapon that can defeat a short demon.

Will Stella find it in herself to kill the only creature who has ever made her feel truly dubious? (Hint: yes!)
