Jak Beut, a term that is very popular in Aceh society. Almost 100 percent of Acehnese have ever done this activities called "jak beut". If we translated into Indonesian words that "jak beut" means "going to learning". This means that the activities go to a place where there is one chaplain and led by a Teungku (teacher) and there are members of recitation. Although a person only came for one time only to the assembly.

In the Acehnese tradition, the word "jak beut" is then more devoted and becomes a term for every person who goes to dayah/balee to study the islamic religion for a long time. Jak beut by this definition is also known as the daily acehnese activities and then going to be a culture. Dayah as a place of jak beut is an educational institution in Aceh that special teach Islam religion. The main object of this study including are Fiqh Science, Tauhid and Ilmu Sufism. The word "dayah" itself comes from the Arabic word "Zawiyah" meaning "the corner".

When understood from this word then the meaning of dayah or zawiyah is a corner/angle. The meaning like this is true, because in the history of Aceh the position of dayah often located in the corner of the village or inland areas that are relatively far from urban areas. But the pengahmahan dayah itself in Acehnese tradition is not because of its location in the corner of the village, but the name was taken and brought home by scholars from Aceh who studied in the Middle East in the past.

The people who are going to study in dayah called ureung jak beut. They called this because those who come to teach in the Dayah are those who are still teenagers and youth (aged 12-30 years). In Javanese terms called by santri and dayah known as pesantren or boarding school. Although there is little difference in tradition between pesantren in Java and dayah in Aceh.

Actually to fill Aceh with Islamic Shari'ah that kaffah potency of santri enter the region is very important. Because santri already have a good basic religion, they are relatively a good character and there is no guarantee. Do not just complain and be concerned about the behavior of those in government, but we must be able to enter the world to make improvements from within. It must be proven that the dayah products are ready-made and have good morality. If this role can be done then the second will of the great scholars above to his santrinya "peudong balee" can actually be internalized in the implied meaning. This means that the balee of the place to give truth boldness is always there with him every alumni dayah (the Dayah alumnus).
