As @shemzy told you it is an application for steemit where your content gets curated if it is good.
The minimum number of words should be 150 and you should have a reputation of 34+.
The value of the upvote will depend on the sp of your followers. More the sp of your followers higher will be the upvote value.
And if you post through esteemapp or surfer, 10% of the total value of the post will be taken by esteemapp as beneficiary rewards which is used for further development of the app.
