MotoStories #4 || The time when Quattro failed ||
Following my last post i feel there has to be sense of balance to the whole Quattro scene.
As this happened.
So one day after a usual hangout at the beach, one of my friends rings me up saying that his car has been stuck on the way out of the beach for quite some time and he called us to lend him a hand with the situation and above picture shows exactly how we found the car once we reached the spot.
As good friends that we are, we laughed quite hard at the situation and started taking pictures of it so that we can embarrass him in the future if ever we need to and also the taunts on the spot just kept on going. Mind you we did help with the situation but also with a rain of jokes mainly cracked on the car.
Why is that you ask? because this car has a smart 4-wheel drive system called Quattro and it's not suppose to get stuck in a silly little puddle.
After a long struggle we did manage to get the car out of the sticky situation, how ever.... it was no thanks to the big bucks German SUV equipped with the most sophisticated all wheel drive technology but thanks to a more simpler and waaaay cheaper Indian made THAR.
So using a rope which we found by the beach which belonged to fishermen, we tied one end to the Audi and the other to the THAR and managed to pull the Audi out of the mud trap it had dug itself into like a clueless little dog.
It was one of the finer days that we had at the beach. From the whole experience of the car being stuck and getting it out to us making fun of @srinidhi for his expensive German car which is on paper to be really great off road, it was fun. And then the MEMEs of the incident began to see the light of day, carrying the mocking session for many days. And i'm not ashamed to say that i started it with this MEME.
I must say, @srinidhi took all the jokes in great spirit as he always does.
And that was that. Good times.

Good try @srinidhi but sometimes there's no substitute for some extra ground clearance. I did essentially the same thing with my Audi in the snow last winter. Always a little embarrassing.
oh boy i missed this.. Next time should re try this :P
