This is my first fiction short story for the steemit community as I continue to explore the darkness within.

Dark Vibrations

Zz zZzZ

It's 3:40 in the morning and the phone acts like a pinche troll vibrating the very moment a mind wonders off into LaLa Land...

Zz zZzZ

Why for the love of God won't the phone shut up? I remember muting the phone before laying down for the night. Please stop buzzing...

Zz zZzZ

C'mon phone please don't make me lose more sleep.. I don't want to look at you right now

Shiiiiiiiit....

One eye opens.. a quick peep around a dark bedroom and his eye finds the mirror hanging from the closet reflecting bathroom light coming in from the hallway. His vision begins to adjust to the light but his eyelid flutters just as...

Zz zZzZ

the buzz of the phone triggered a flash of white noise and a bolt of electro shock surged through his body launching him upright in bed. Suddenly his struggle to breath was challenged by the nerves overloading his body with a hyper sense of being. Something was very out of place in this moment and his body refused to let him ignore that very idea.

Zz zZzZ

His eyes fight through the dark room but the only light available is a reflection from the mirror. He turns back to it to readjust and his peripheral catches a shadow eluding his vision and the bathroom light.

What the hell?

His body nearly freezes in terror but he manages to rub his eyes. He leans back and grabs for the bat laying next to his bed but it's not there.

Zz zZzZ

The bathroom light flickers in sync with the vibration. The light dims and the tingle sensation creeps in from his toes all through his arms. He tries to step out of bed and realizes he's unable to move just as a deep shriek of terror fills the house.

Zz zZzZ YEEEEEEEEEHIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRR Zz zZzZ

His now limp body falls back into bed and a heavy pressure sits on his chest, his eyes shoot wide open as he gasp for air. His vision unable to focus from darkness picks up the light from the closet mirror. His eyes manage to look in that direction just as the shadow creeps back in.

Zz zZzZ

The light flickers and weakens again and the buzzing phone seems to drain the power.

Zz zZzZ

The shadow emerges from the darkness and a huge giant black beast looking figure nearly covers the bathroom doorway, stops and stares into the mirror.
He is unable to move and he tries to yell out towards the figure but only a raspy whisper escapes his mouth. He's convinced it's only a nightmare and tries to wake himself up.

Zz zZzZ

The vibration of the phone now a sensation on his numb body buzzing in from the top of his head. The bathroom light nearly blocked by the silhouette continues to weaken as the vibration continues down his head. Only a hairline of light seeps through pulsating once again.

Zz zZzZ

Gasping for air, he tries to focus on the idea of reality and how to find it. The buzzing continues down the back of his neck, an dark energy radiates from silhouette and the very least he wants to do is close his eyes in fear of what is about to happen but nothing is in his favor.

Zz zZzZ

the buzzing, like a ball of energy creeps down to his chest and stops over his heart. The dark shadow reveals it's ghastly eyes staring deep into his soul through the reflection of the mirror. His hope of waking from a dream starts to fade and accepting the reality of this horror takes over.

Zz zZzZ sssssssSSSS

A faint light flashes through the closed blinds above him. More white noise, flashes of dark clouds and sinister objects fill his vision as each buzz seems to fuel the new revelation. The bathroom light flickers out and the terror erupts as he loses sight of the shadow.

Zz zZzZ ssssSSSSSSsssss

The white noise reacts to the buzzing still sitting atop his heart. The faint light strengthens with each pulse and the dark shadow vanishes from the hallway using the darkness to move closer, dodging the light it jumps from pulse to pulse, from his doorway to the dark corner out of the ray of light.

Zz zZzZ

The numbness fades fast and the sensations of his body start to jolt back into action as if he stuck a fork inside a light socket. The energy brings relief and the heavy weight on his chest weakens, he manages a deep breath of oxygen and his body explodes full of energy.
The Shadow begins to shriek in defeat and the power of it's sound, counters the emerging light from the window above. What sounds like a cat in heat echo within the room only strengthens along with the light and the figure tries to draw closer to him. He finally is able to move his upper body and turns over towards the direction of the shadow, realizing it's radiating dark cloudy energy is about to swallow him whole. The light burns brighter, hundreds of eyes cover look in from the window but dissapear like minnows in a puddle of water. He sees hope, the eyes grow in number through his peripheral as the black cloud smothers the ceiling. He takes another deep breath and reaches for the buzzing over his heart just as the cloud falls from above...
