WHEN THE STORMS OF LIFE BLOWS!! How do you react?!
We are faced with challenges, trials and problems which can be classified as the storms of life. It's a phenomenal that we can't avoid because at the end, a better version of ourselves is born, and that makes us "CHAMPIONS".
Below is a motivational story, which can enable us view the storms we face differently and how we can overcome them.
Mr Croft was an elderly man, who lived and owned a fameland close to the sea along the sea coast. He hired people to work for him on his farmland. But, since it was actually close to the sea people were reluctant to work on his farmland.
Now, the reason was because of the dreadful and awful storms, that raged across the sea, causing a lot of damage on building and crops.
Mr Croft, as elderly and old as he is, interviewed people who did apply for the job. He did receive a lot of "turn-downs". Then finally, after a lot of refusal, Mr Griffts approached him. Mr Griffts was thin, shirt and well past middle age.
Mr Croft said,
Are you really a good farmer and caretaker and can handle my animals and crops.
Mr Griffts answered,
Am good in what I do, and I sleep well when the storms howls!"
Now these reply puzzled Mr Croft, but with no other options at hand, decided to hire Mr Griffts.
Mr Griffts worked well around the farm, busy from dawn to dusk. Mr Croft was well pleased and satisfied with his work.
Then and behold one faithful night the storm howled in loudly from offshore. Mr Croft jumped out of bed, grabbed a lantern and rushed next door, to Mr Griffts quarter's.
Mr Croft shocked Mr Griffts vigorously and yelled,
"Getup! A storm is on our tail! Go tie things down, before they are blown away! "
Mr Griffts with a sleepy eyes, rolled over in bed and said firmly,
"No sir, I told you, I sleep well when ever the storm howls!"
Hmmmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔!! Can you, just imagine that!!. Not to spoil the fun.
Mr Croft was very angry with the response of Mr Griffts and decided to fire him on the spot. But before doing that, he ran outside to prepare for the storm.
To his amazement, he discovered that all the haystacks had been covered by tarpaulins by Mr Griffts. The cows, chickens were in there barn and coop respectively and the doors were barred and shutters tightly closed.
Everything was tied down, and couldn't be blown away by the storm. Mr Croft then understood what Mr Griffts meant, so he returned to his bed and slept while the storm hauled.
Now, what moral lessons have we learnt?
"Spiritually, mentally and physically, one must be prepared, and we have nothing to fear, when F. E. A. R is channelled and used positively in what ever situations we find ourselves"
Question to ask yourself!! Can you handle the storms that blows through your life?
