A Prey to Destruction......Chapter Eight
I have decided to write something on my series this evening for the pleasure of my lovely readers and I hope you enjoy reading.
The Lady that my Aunt organized for my dad happened to be a good lady after all and my baby was getting really found of her, my baby liked to be carried by our new wife.
The Lady however likes to gist with me and I love to listen to her tell me stories about how things happen in the village. The most interesting one was when she told me about her ex-husband . She told me about how the man was a drunkard and he was very poor, she said she was not a lady who was after money so she endured with him despite the fact that he did not have the money to take care of her properly.
She said she had to leave him when his family members began to complain that she could not give him a child. His mother who was her mother in law began to come to her house constantly to reign insults on her and say she is just a barren and good for nothing woman, she said when she hears those words, she usually cries her eyes out but she still refuse to leave him because of the love she had for him.
She added that the reason why she now had to finally leave him was because his mother brought him another wife and she was wondering how the both of them will survive without starving to death, as she was basically the one feeding herself and her so called husband, paying rents and other things with the money she gathers from her little business.
When she realized that she was foolish by wasting her time with someone who does not love her and he fact that she has to take care of herself, her husband and the new wife who was becoming very rude and disrespectful, she decided to move out of the house and begin her life afresh before my Aunt called her and asked her to come to the city, she mentioned that my Aunt has been of great help to her so she cannot disobey or disrespect her in anyway.
