The Black Door

PART 2

Needless to say, tensions were running high -- Butch, the bartender who was just murdered in the alley was like a little brother to Jett and Bigga, a few years earlier as Jett and Bigga were locking up the restaurant and getting ready for The Black Doors grand opening, they went out into the alley to make sure everyone was gone.., and they heard someone rustling through the dumpster… It was Butch, he was digging through all the garbage looking for something to eat.., and when he heard someone coming, he took off running down the alleyway.

He was in pretty bad shape.., and they easily ran him down --

"PLEASE, PLEASE.., DON'T HURT ME -- I WAS JUST HUNGRY!"

He looked like he had taken a few good beatings, recently.., so immediately Bigga picked him up off the ground --

"Nobody is going to hurt you.., just calm down and lower your voice…" Bigga dragged him to the alleyway entrance where Jett was waiting to see what the fuck was going on -- "He's in pretty bad shape, Jett.., looks like he hasn't eaten in a while and from the looks of it, been smacked around pretty good, too." Butch continues to beg these two guys just to let him go, but Jett and Bigga can clearly see this kid was not cut out to be living on the streets.

"Bring'em in the kitchen -- lets get this guy a real meal -- " Jett says to Bigga… Butch is shocked.., but not sure what to think… The late crew hasn't showed up yet, so Jett pops a few steaks on the grill while Bigga puts a big basket of bread in front of Butch… As Jett cooks up the steaks, Butch is still very weary of the whole situation and keeps looking around, as if he expects the cops to come bursting through the doors at any minute…

As Jett puts down 3 steaks, they all sit at the chefs table in the kitchen -- "Look kid, were the good guys, we know what it's like to be hungry and down on your luck.., but that all changes for you, right now. Look at me -- if you want, nobody is going to force you to do anything.., but if you want, I'll give a place to stay, you can work here.., and we'll get you back on your feet -- sound good?"

Butch is almost in tears.., it's been long time since anyone has been this nice to him… But before he can respond, Bigga says -- "You'd be crazy to turn this down." And from that moment on, he was part of the family -- literally, like their little brother… And now he was dead!

As all the "fabulous" people start to party, they notice nobody has seen Jett… Bigga tries to reach him on the walkie, but no answer… He starts walking around the place looking for him and when he goes into the employee bathroom, of all places, he hears someone in one of the stalls --

"Jett, is that you, man… What's going on, people are asking for -- you gotta get there, we get let on anything is wrong." Jett swings open the stall door.., and it is obvious he has just been crying -- and as he starts to talk, the tears roll down his face…

"That kid was family, Bigga -- and those scumbags knew it too, that's why he's dead… We should've sent him on his way after a good meal that night we found him digging through the trash -- at least he would still be alive." Bigga has never seen Jett this emotional --

"Look bro.., you know that kid wouldn't have lasted more than a week on the streets. You did the right thing, you gave that kid a family for a few years.., and he loved you -- shit, he fuckin' idolized you! There is no way we could have seen this coming… But right now, you gotta get out there.., and show everyone everything is cool. I know it sucks -- but the party must go on."

Jett knows he's right, so he splashes some water on his face.., and heads out to make his rounds. And he does it like a pro -- nobody has any idea that anything is wrong… After he has greeted and partied with some of the VIP's, he heads up to his apartment to make some phone calls.., and within an hour the heads of the most ruthless crime families in the city all show up…

What people don't know about Jett is that he runs the biggest crime syndicate in the country -- not because he wants to, he had too… Sitting around a huge table are the gangsters that used to run this town, but now they answer to Jett. Before he stepped in and took the reigns, people were getting killed in broad daylight, they streets were a war zone. But because of all his family connections, he united the worst of the worst -- Russians, Albanians, Yugoslovians, the Irish and Italians… And he did it by making them all -- MONEY!

He knew the killing had to stop.., and more violence wasn't the answer. The only crime family that was not receptive to his plan, were the Columbians… So in order to unite the rest of the families -- he ripped off over $100 million is stolen diamonds from them and split it evenly with rest of the families.., and BAM, all of a sudden he was the boss. But during the heist, things to didn't go as planned -- and he wound up killing the brothers and sons of the of the man that ran the Columbian crime family. It wasn't planned that way, nobody was supposed to die -- the stash house was supposed to be empty… But crime, like much of life is full of surprises.., and things rarely go as planned.

Now.., standing in front of all these killers, mobsters and gang bangers -- he could tell they had no idea what had transpired just a few hours earlier. He looks them all in the eye, as his gaze falls on each one of them -- "The Columbians are back.., they killed Butch tonight." And for the first time, we see the rage in his eyes, as he slams the note that was attached to Butch's body on the center of the table -- WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE, WE KNOW WHERE YOU ARE… AND WE WILL BE BACK! This group of killers.., actually looked stunned… For years all the killing had stopped.., and by the look on their faces, you just know.., that is all about to change.


Stay tuned for Part 3 of The Black Door… What does Jett have planned for the Columbians.., and how did they find out Jett was the one responsible the big diamond heist… And will the now safe streets of the city, once again be turned into a war one?!
