Steve turned his comrade's door knob, Danko

It was an old flat with plasters flaked constantly from the ceilings and visitors had to crawl a bit among all scattered items on the floor. Steve walked slowly just so he won't stepped on important items of his flatmate.

The roof often leaked during wet season. It was dreadful even at his flat. Living as ordinary citizen was certainly difficult. Lots promises were made by the leaders so they could have a better life but none of them remembered.

South east state is the 2nd dangerous place to live in after Middle state. Lot's of tropical animals brought diseases especially during monsoon. The death rate would increase significantly and government could careless about it.People die in the emergency room because they had to do innumerable process before doctor would touch the patient- that's what the healthcare system looked like in the south east state.

Danko's wife was greeting Steve from the distance

" Afternoon comrade Steve, it's all good folks" She said

She's a woman in early 30th who worked at local bakery with a salary about 5 beans each day. It wasn't enough to fully support a family of 4 but their house seemed to be more stuffed with items than his. Boxing gloves, pair of rainbow socks, rainbow sweaty pants- all scattered on the floor, and on the table there were lots of dirty dishes and litter of some snacks and a book about rainbow community. On the walls, There were lots of pictures of whales, beans, and slogan's from the party " it's all good folks".

Steve picked the Rainbow book and began to read it's title
" An unacceptable lifestyle" He was curious and flipped the first page. it was written.

The law will never allow two women or two men who are engaged in a so-called same-sex marriage to go in and adopt a child and intentionally deprive that child or a mother or a father. And put them in a home where homosexual misbehavior, immorality and certainly behavior that leads to vastly increased risk of sexually transmitted disease … For them to model this immoral, unethical and unhealthy behavior, the state would never permit that to happen.” 1

There was the usual smell of steamed fish in the flat minus the sweet smell of sweats from a hard labor at the beans field. In another room, someone with a paper and a phone tried to keep tune on daily vlog from artists who worked at minitrue.

" It's the children" said Caroline, casting a half apprehensive glance from the kitchen. " They haven't been out today, none of children out this time, unlike old times, isn't it Steve?"

" Well, yes so I've noticed.Children glued to screen watching a drama vlog created by minitrue artists.Real interaction does not appeal to them anymore. By the way, where is Danko?" Steve sat down on the chair at the living room.

" He's in the shower and will come out about 10 minutes. You'd better put down that rainbow book, Danko would be so mad if he spot you reading that" Caroline warned and moved on to cook

Danko was Steve closest mate outside the beans field. He wasn't working as beans plucker but a builder. Plucking beans didn't appeal to him although often Steve tried to persuade him. Physically, he was fattish but with a whole lot of imbecile enthusiasm. Danko was actually a fine man who graduated from thought academy. He went examining people's idea for plucking method and decided to quit cause he couldn't stand injustice happening inside the organization. Danko mentioned that it was too much of them and he was overworking with people accusing him taking too much of the donated beans from the organization.

A handsome tough 10 years old boy appeared and menacing him with a toy automatic pistol. Steve raised his hands above his head, but with an uneasy feeling, so vicious was the boy's demeanor that it wasn't an altogether game.
" you're a heathen !" yelled the boy " You're a troll, godless, a cancer of society. I'll shoot you and you be burned in hell"
Suddenly the girl came from another room and both of them leaping around him shouting " heathens, infidels" with the girl imitating every of her brother's movement.

Caroline's eyes flitted nervously from Steve to the children, and back again. " They do get so noisy, " she said. ' they are disappointed because they couldn't go to see the flogging.I am too busy to take them and Danko hates it'.

" Why can't we see the flogging mama?" roared the boy in his huge voice
" Want to see the flogging, want to see the flogging!" chanted the little girl , still capering around..

A month ago a woman was flogged because she was hanging out with a guy who wasn't her spouse in the evening. It was a really popular flogging that made it to other state where they were astonished about South East state. The punishment is administered by a 'religious officer' who oversees moral conduct on a range of issues including drinking, gambling and homosexuality 2.Steve lived in a state where religious law was heavily implemented. The law was ridiculous and that it often cringed him to see the flogging. Children were taken to be a spectator so they would learn to not do the same thing.

Danko came out of the bedroom and greeted Steve

' I hope you're doing alright ! lately there's a rising price on trading fees " said Danko while grabbing a cup of triumph latte.

' Sorry, but I have not done any trading recently, I have just running out of beans and I came here to check what's up with you and the family. I am glad everyone's alive. By the way, where's the book you purchased the other day?'

' That? I have hid it somewhere, i'll find it back shortly for you' Danko walked to the attic and trying to find the books.

Steve glanced at his mobile phone and thought he would be running late for his daily work at beans field. ' Danko, I might get back tomorrow , what about that? ' He yelled from the living room.

' Okay, I'll see you then ! I will definitely keep the book next time I meet you '

Steve left Danko's flat and back into his flat quickly.
