In my place, usually, from August to September, the durian are in bloom. At the same time, various cleanup activities undertaken in gardens have durian trees.
We, usually, so was not expecting drought occurred in these months, because durian was in desperate need of water and nutrients so that the flowers do not fall out. If the flowers fall, then later can bet there will be no durian season. But we also do not expect excessive rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, because it will make durian flowers fall too.
We will also very friendly with insects such as bees and beetles. Because the insects that later would do cross-pollination within a limited time, which is when the flowers in full bloom, and it usually occurs from 5 pm until 3 o'clock in the morning. If pollination does not occur at this time, the durian flowers will fall, and thus there would be no harvest durian.
