TICK TOCK (An Original Poem)
It is midnight
A new soul has entered the world
It takes it's first breath
The clock of life has started
It is now 1:00 am
The soul has learned to speak
To walk, and is beginning to understand
The clock of life
Tick Tock
It is now 3:00 am
The soul is expressing interest
In objects
It is becoming unique
It cannot fully comprehend the clock of life
Tick Tock
It is now 6:00 am
The soul is becoming rebellious
It is trying new things
It is doing things that make the clock tick faster
It does not care about the clock of life
But the clock of life cares about it
Tick Tock
It is now noon
The soul has accepted time
It settles down
It is a fully productive member of society
It can now begin to comprehend the clock of life
But as it does, the clock of life is ticking
Tick Tock
It is now 6:00pm
The soul should still be going
But it is not as it should be
The clock of life has picked up it's speed
It is now going too fast
Too fast for what the poor soul deserved
For the soul had fallen victim to the blight
Tick Tock
It is now midnight again
The soul is finished
The soul has worked hard in this life
It leaves the body the find another host
And to start another day
