He died screaming. Hallucinating.

We all know Edgar Allen Poe for his short stories and poems..His mysteries are amazing and he certainly has a mystery of his own...

Edgar Allen Poe was found in the streets dying. Someone walking by asked if he needed help. Edgar Allen Poe gave the boy a name and the boy wrote for the person in the name that Poe was in need of "Immediate Assistance"....He was last seen leaving for Philadelphia and never made it to his destination. While at Washington college hospital he never came to and there was never an explanation for what was happening. He had crazy hallucinations and was screaming random names and words before he died.

The death of Edgar Allan Poe on October 7, 1849, has remained mysterious, the circumstances leading up to it are uncertain and the cause of death is disputed. On October 3, the American author was found delirious in Baltimore, Maryland, "in great distress, and ... in need of immediate assistance", according to the man who found him, Joseph W. Walker.[1] He was taken to the Washington College Hospital, where he died at 5 a.m. on Sunday, October 7. He was 40 years old. Poe was never coherent enough to explain how he came to be in this condition.

What the hell happend?

Edgar Allen Poe was buried in a cheap coffin with an unmarked grave. There was no ceremony for his death because the crowd was said to be "too small"...In early biographies of Poe it is said that he died from "congestion of the brain." Which basically meant that he died of alcohol poisoning. People are assuming that he was drunk the night that he had died, but his friends and his family claim that it was preposterous with that he didnt drink like that. The last person to see him alive had said he didnt see any signs of alcohol and didnt smell it.
Others had claims that Edgar Allen Poe had taken part in some sort of political expulsion. He might have been poisoned by somebody for political reasons. This was common in this time. His remains and death documents have been lost with time. We might never know what REALLY happened to Edgar Allen Poe. The mysteries surrounding his death have people stumped to this day. Was he killed? Did he kill himself with alcohol? There certainly is a ton of mystery surrounding this amazing author, and his fame wasnt given to him until far after his death.
