The Dancer - Street Fight 13

It was the swaying candy that caused the fall of Bjorn and Martha. Bjorn dropped his sack, his reflexes so very fast but Martha’s sack flipped them both, broke their hold on each other.

Bjorn, used to and trained for falls, used to hits, landed on his back down street, where Martha landed on her stomach up-street, or behind them, and the thud against the sidewalk knocked the wind out of her. Bjorn slapped the ground with his hands and bounced up to his feet facing up-street. He reached to check Martha with his right hand.

She moaned and he knew she had her wind knocked out. He looked to find Pete, when he saw ‘THEM’. They came so fast!

Almost on him, he attacked with a double flying wheel round kick. Bjorn did not know what would happen, if he could do anything. “THWACK! THWACK!”

Bjorn made contact and they did not expect it. He did not expect an effect either. He knocked both for a loop. And he did not stare in awe. He had an effect. He attacked. He focused, centered, and watched the chi grow. One was a woman demon, old, wrinkled, fanged, with eyes that sucked in light like two holes. The other was a young man who was the same. The man demon attacked him. He blocked, blocked which was not the thing before him but the forces he shot forth.

“I’ve got him,” Bjorn heard in his head and the humanoid thing tried to grip Bjorn, sink his teeth.

“Pete help Martha!” Bjorn spun, blocked, and kicked out in split kicks. He hit and staggered the demons. He stepped back to the ground and saw Pete stand there in fright, or frozen in the street. “Keep moving,” Martha was able to gasp as she tried to rise up.

He hit Bjorn and the she devil lunged for Martha. They wanted Martha more than him. Bjorn blocked him and kicked her. She staggered. Bjorn’s chi shrunk.

“I’ve got him, take her.” Bjorn heard the he-fiend. Pete was still frozen. The most powerful kick is a reverse kick. It is like the kick of a mule or a horse. Perhaps these devils used chi as well. “WHAM!” Instantly with his other foot, “WHAM!”

The two reverse kicks were so fast, so powerful, Bjorn saw his chi grow and the he-fiend flew backwards, double struck. Pete snapped out of it.

The she devil entered Martha head first. Her head arms and shoulders were inside Martha.

Bjorn flipped it while it entered Martha. Martha screamed involuntarily in horror. Kick, poke, kick, and poke – into its chi Bjorn attacked. He was relentless and still it climbed into Martha.

Bjorn pounded. His chi grew. Martha still screamed; her back was arched. People came out of the houses to see what happened. Bjorn was knocked flying by the he-fiend to fall into the body of the she devil as it entered Martha.
Bjorn was gripped, paralyzed by a vision so strong…evil, history, and acts. He thought the she-devil screamed. The she devil pulled out of Martha. The two retreated. They left Bjorn stunned as he hit the pavement of the sidewalk. Crying, Martha dropped to her knees reached for Bjorn.

“You, what did you do to that girl! I have called the police!” A man in the house stood on the other side of the hedge.

“It is okay Mister,” Pete said, “They slipped on the ice and fell, it was an accident.”

“What?” The man said, “I thought that he attacked her with kicks and punches.”

“No,” Martha said. She knew that no one else could see what happened. “We fell, slipped on the sidewalk.”

“Are you sure young lady?” The man asked several times.

“Yes, I am sure.” Martha and Pete said to the man each time he asked. She still breathed with difficultly. It was hard to answer.

“Is he alright, then?” The man looked over the hedge at Bjorn.

“I don’t know.” Martha said, “Bjorn?” Bjorn did not answer. She said his name several times and he did not answer. The man came around the hedge to the sidewalk. Other adults ran forward. There was talking, Bjorn moaned.

Back in the cave, the old woman body of the she-devil fell over dead into the flames of the fire. The body began to burn like it was dry wood or paper. The flames of the fire roared; consumed the aged body of the witch.
