A story my grandmother told me.

I remember a hilarious story my grand mother once told me about the king who wanted to do some unique work in his kingdom so that people may remember him .

He summoned his chief adviser and asked him to find some work that has been never done in any kingdom before. So the adviser went for search of such unique work that has never been done before.

He told the king that he has searched and found one thing that no one has done before. He said, “No king has has constructed any “ Well of Milk” in any kingdom ever”. The King liked the idea, and ordered his adviser to announce this message to the villagers of his kingdom.

The Adviser announced that the King is going to construct a well, and every family in the kingdom has to pour one glass of milk into the well in the night. The last glass of milk will be poured by King himself to finally complete the Well of the Milk

One wise villager thought, that everyone is going to pour milk into the well, it would not matter if he will pour water instead of the milk. So in the night, he went with a glass of water and poured it into the well.

Next morning, when the king went to the well to pour the last glass of milk, he was amazed. He saw that the well was filled with water instead of the milk. He was surprised and could not believe what happened.

Actually “ Everyone has thought the same as that villager and poured glass of water instead of milk”.

So what could be the moral..?

Every small action matters. In the view of the villager, his small contribution was negligible, but we saw how similar small contribution results in the fall of the project .

So if you want to do anything… Give it a beginning.. Start it..no matter how small it maybe.
